The Smarter Lunchrooms Movement of California announces five regional training sessions in Ontario, Bakersfield, Salinas, Livermore and Chico through March 11, 2016.
Adam Brumberg and Kathryn Hoy from Cornell University will share the principles and practices of making the healthy choice the easy choice in the school cafeteria.
School-based child nutrition directors and cafeteria managers; nutrition specialists working with schools and local health department staff working with schools are invited to register and complete a prerequisite two-hour course. Action for Healthy Kids offers School Breakfast grants to pilot or expand school breakfast programs and Game On grants to fund physical activity/nutrition initiatives.
