Why Family Meals Matter
National Family Meals Month Logo
Studies show significant, measurable, scientific proof about the positive, lifelong benefits of family meals. Regular family meals are linked to higher grades and self-esteem, healthier eating habits and weight, and less risky behavior. Family meals eaten at home have been proven to benefit the health and wellness of children and adolescents, to fight obesity and substance abuse and to make families stronger. Join the movement this September and pledge to share one more meal at home per week with your family. Find more information on why family meals matter here.
